College Bound:

Program Overview:

A Gordon student led after school tutoring and enrichment program active for first through fourth graders. The first and second grade children are tutored in the Homework Center in Curwin Circle, Lynn while third and fourth graders travel to the Gordon College campus.

Areas of college access it addresses:

Academic Readiness—Lynn elementary school students are tutored in various academic subjects helping them comprehend and master necessary academic skills.

Social Readiness—The students tutored through College Bound are given the opportunity to work one-on-one with college students, entering into a relationship where they can learn about the college experience.

College Information Awareness—The third and fourth graders who come to the campus of Gordon College, are introduced to an actual college campus and have the opportunity to explore the physical space of college as well as form meaningful relationships with the students who tutor them.
