Program Overview:

            Operation Bootstrap provides adult education opportunities for the greater Lynn community. Classes are offered to help students improve their English proficiency and to help low-literacy students gain their Graduation Equivalency Degree (GED).  Individual tutoring and classroom instructions settings are available. Operation Bootstrap also helps students research transition programs, particularly transitional programs available at North Shore Community College, such as Project Enable. Instruction in developing study skills is also available.

            -Addressing the needs of Lynn’s immigrant community by providing multiple opportunities for tutoring and classes for English Language Learners.

Areas of college access it addresses:

            Academic Readiness—Operation Bootstrap’s classes in English and in GED prep help students become academically ready for post high-school level studies.
